Quick and Easy Candy Snowflakes Your Kids Can Make! They're perfect for the holidays, a winter get together or a Frozen-themed birthday party!

To be honest, when it comes to Christmas crafts and recipes, I don’t usually think much about snow.  I mean, I have snowmen cookie cutters, but I don’t think much about it because let’s face it:

I have worn shorts on Christmas more often than I have seen snow on Christmas.

In fact, with the exception of a flurry here and there, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen snow on Christmas.

I am MISSISSIPPImom after all, right?

White Christmases are just not the norm, you know?

So, for those of you who can’t imagine Christmas without snow and for those of you who’d love to have it for a change, here are some edible snowflakes that are easy to make and fun to eat.

(And, yes, they would make a great…and easy…addition to any Frozen birthday party!)

First, what you need:

snowflakes1

Blue Candy Melts and sprinkles.  That’s it.

I did say this was easy.

First, melt your Blue Candy Melts.

Then do not put them in candy melting bottles.  I don’t know why, but this did not work for me.  It has before, but for some reason, not this time.  Just use   Disposable Decorating Bags.  You’ll be glad you did.

With your Decorating Bags, pipe your snowflakes onto Wax Paper.  Older kids can do this on their own.  Younger kids can “help.”

Toddlers can add sprinkles:

Yes, you will have sprinkles everywhere.  They’re pretty so go with it.

You can add “pearls” if you like.

When the chocolate has hardened, carefully remove the snowflakes from the wax paper.

Enjoy!
