MS Museum of Natural Science Membership – $65 Well Spent

This past year, we became members of the MS Museum of Natural Science, and let me tell you:  I am so glad we did!  I mean, obviously, with a family of six, it doesn’t take much more than a couple of visits to start saving money on the price of admission, but that is only the beginning of the ways our family membership has been a blessing.

First, my kids love it!  They’ve enjoyed every exhibit and particularly liked the Reptiles exhibit that ends this weekend.  (If you haven’t seen it yet, try to go…you’ll be glad you did!)  Even when there isn’t a special exhibit, we all enjoy visiting the aquariums and seeing the fossils so if we need an outing or have a little free time, we visit the museum…and my kids never get tired of it!  Honestly, rather than spend money for an afternoon movie, we visit the museum for FREE, and they are thrilled every time.

Second, they learn, and they like it.  Win/Win.  Enough said.

Finally, when our family went on vacation in August, our membership saved us hundreds of dollars because the MS Museum of Natural Science is a member of the Association of Science – Technology Centers so were able to visit multiple museums and attractions for FREE!  Here are a few that we enjoyed:

The Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta

The Western North Carolina Nature Center

The Colburn Earth Science Museum

The U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville

Now, wherever we go, we do a search for sister organizations nearby, and we usually find at least one to visit for free, which makes this Must-See Mississippi Attraction a great place to visit and a great value!
